Allied Pipefreezing Services can deliver a safe, reliable and efficient service - wherever and whenever clients need it. On site consultancy is available to evaluate the feasibility of a project before work commences.

PIPEFREEZING

One of our engineers carries out a pressure test on a branch to check the integrity of the freezes on the adjacent main.

This highly effective method of temporary pipe isolation has become the de facto standard for the online replacement of valves and for general pipework modifications or maintenance work. Using this process, pipe contents are safely frozen for the duration of the modifications or maintenance work, avoiding the need for draining and refilling the entire system:

UNDER PRESSURE DRILLING ('HOT TAPPING ')

On completion of a satisfactory pressure test the branch is drilled.

Where freezing is impractical, a 'hot tapping' technique can be employed, allowing the engineer to install a branch connection to a live or charged pipeline or tank - again without the need to interrupt the flow of the liquid or gas. In this procedure, a new branch connection and valve is fitted to the pipe or vessel, pressure tested and then drilled under pressure with purpose designed drilling equipment.

SHRINK FITTING

The shaft onto which the bearing sleeve has already been fitted, is offered into the drive coupling.

The Allied Pipefreezing Services portfolio also includes shrink fitting - a safe, economical and efficient method of assembling components without the need to use heat or employ force fitting techniques. Using this method, the inner component is shrunk by immersion in a bath of liquid nitrogen, so enabling mechanical assembly, without the risk of damaging components.

LINESTOPPING

LineStop in place with the intergrated bypass in operation.

With the portfolio expanding to include a LineStopping service, Allied Pipefreezing Services are able to offer a much broader range of services and solutions to our clients. LineStopping is a mechanical method of forming a temporary isolation in a live main, where some flow exists and thus cannot be frozen, or a total shutdown is not an option.

QUADRINA FERRULE

Quadrina ferrules can be put into pipelines from 3" - 60" diameter and can give size ranging from 1/2" to 2". Completewith inner plugs or brass gate valves. Quadrina ferrules can be inserted into cast and steel and ductile pipes.

Service to consumers process industries and sensitive pipelines services is maintained.
Contamination and/or loss of fluid or gas does not occur.
Toxic and harmful product is not released.
Fire protection - sprinkler systems, hydrants etc are not affected.
