LineStopping
Client 1.
A large electronics manufacturer was preparing for a full survey of all it's compressed air lines and servicing of all their air receivers. One line was suffering from leaking diaphragm valves. In order to change the diaphragms, it would have needed a full shutdown of the entire compressed air system. This was not an option!
After much consideration the client decided that LineStopping was the best solution. Allied PipeFreezing Services arrived on site and installed two bespoke bolt-on clamps to a 15 meter section of 4" pipe, and set a 1.5" flexile ByPass hose between the two LineStops. The two valves were stripped, cleaned and re-assembled with new diaphragms. The LineStops were removed and the clamps plugged and capped.
The complete operation was comfortably carried out during one shift with no disruption or interuption to the manufacturing throughput.
Client 2.
The National Health Service was experiencing problems with an isolation valve which was seized open on a mains cold water line which was passing badly
In order to maintain the water supply two 2.5" LineStops were carried out with a ByPass, this allowed the engineers to remove the faulty gate valve and replace it with a new butterfly valve and a short spool piece, while all the time maintaining an uninterrupted water supply to the hospital. The system was brought back on line with no disruption to the day-to-day operations.
