LineStopping FAQs

Can I Isolate Gas and Compressed Air Lines?

Yes! The linestopping method allows almost all types of pipe systems to be isolated. As it is mechanical it does not rely on the properties of the contents like freezing does.

How long can the Stop be held for?

The stop can be held in place indefinitely

Will I loose essential services during the linestop works?

No! The Linestop system also incorporates a bypass function which allows flow to continue around the isolation through a temporary setup.

What materials can you Linestop on?

This process can be used on all common pipe materials. However confirmation with our technical sales team is recommended

Do the pumps and/or boilers need to be switched off?

In the case of a Linestop they do not necessarily need to be turned off, however these can be discussed in depth about the specific application and the constraints it may present. Please consult our technical team for further information.

How far apart can the Linestop be?

The linestop heads can be placed any distance apart?
